DATA/ACCOUNT CLERK
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
High school diploma or GED.
Good math skills. Good organization ability.
Telephone, clerical, bookkeeping, and typing skills.
Ability to apply math skills in the preparation of purchase orders.
Familiarity with chart of accounts for coding purposes.
Ability to operate a 10-key.
Good computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Professional communication skills. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work efficiently in both a team setting and individually.
Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and an insured personal vehicle for use while on agency business. Must have a good driving record. Must have a record of reliable work attendance. Must have a history of satisfactory job performance.
Must be able to meet all requirements and obtain all certificates required to perform the job or any aspect of the job, and to access funding for performance of any aspect of the job.
Preferred:
Associates degree in Accounting and/or extensive experience in accounts payable utilizing several charges of accounts for a multi-faceted operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs data entry of vouchers and purchase orders.
Matches receiving copies of purchase orders to open file of invoices.
Provides accurate and complete purchase order information to accounts payable in a timely manner for prompt vendor payment.
Processes change orders and partial invoice payments to expedite payment to vendors as the need arises.
Accurately documents the provided chart of accounts cost coding information and dollar amount to purchase orders.
Possesses and maintains proficiency in data entry and calculator operation.
Assists the purchasing assistant and account clerk in daily operations as needed.
Performs miscellaneous clerical/data processing work, including but not limited to typing, filing, data entry, collating, proofing.
HOURS:
8:00 am-4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Flexible as needed.

PROBATION:
280 calendar days (initial); 90 calendar days (non-initial)
