HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have an intermediate level of skill with Microsoft Word. Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
Must possess strong organization, prioritization, and clerical skills. Must be able to spell, use grammar correctly, enter data accurately on forms and in the computer, perform basic math functions accurately, multi-task, and consistently meet deadlines.
Must be able to greet and assist employees and answer phone calls in a positive manner. Must be able to communicate in a professional manner at all times with consumers, employees, visitors and the public. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, independently and as a team.
Must be able to follow checklists and procedures. Able to maintain confidentiality. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to obtain a Notary Public Commission.
Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, an insured personal vehicle to use while on agency business, and a good driving record. Must have satisfactory job performance. Must have regular and predictable attendance.
Must be able to meet all requirements and obtain all certificates required to perform the job or any aspect of the job, and to access funding for performance of any aspect of the job.
Preferred:
Experience in a Human Resources environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures compliance with Board policies and Collective Bargaining Agreement requirements while completing tasks.
Prepares, processes, tracks, maintains, and analyzes Human Resources Department records. Ensures that all Human Resources documentation is filed accurately and in a timely manner so it can be accessed for review.
Performs a wide variety of duties for the Director of Human Resources.
Notarizes documents as necessary.
Handles and directs all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner. Maintains positive communication and coordination of information with employees, professionals, supervisors, applicants, and community members. Processes and distributes information in a timely fashion and maintains confidentiality.
Accurately and efficiently executes assigned processes and procedures related to HR functions across the employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, performance management, and employee relations, often acting as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR matters.
HOURS:
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm., Flexible as needed.
SALARY:
Level 5 – (Confidential Employee Contract)
